History
In 1964, Winnipeg Jewish community leaders Joseph Halprin, Abe Werier and Sam Werier, and 116 other visionaries, established the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba. The intent of the Foundation was to support local agencies and programs, care for the vulnerable, promote Jewish culture and traditions, and ensure a healthy future for Manitoba. In the decades since its founding, the Foundation has flourished – supporting, serving, and shaping the community and demonstrating undeniably that the vision and legacy of its founders lives on.
In 2020, the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba produced a video entitled 'Life saving support' to spotlight the Foundation's impact on our community and its people.
