Mark & Dorothy Danzker Scholarship
Deadline – February 28 of any given year
$10,000 per year awarded to one recipient *
Awarded to a Jewish student entering or enrolled in a post-graduate degree program with preference given to persons studying at a Manitoba educational institution. This award is based on academic achievement, financial need and community involvement.
To be eligible for the Mark & Dorothy Danzker Scholarship, an applicant:
- Must be Jewish;
- Must be a resident of Manitoba;
- Must be a full-time (60% course load) student entering or enrolled in a post-graduate degree program with preference given to persons studying at a Manitoba educational institution.
Assuming the applicant meets the eligibility requirements set forth above, the following criteria will be used by the selection committee in awarding the scholarship:
- Academic achievement;
- Volunteer work in the Jewish community;
- Volunteer work in the local community;
- Financial need.
Scholarships are awarded for studies commencing in September of any given year.
* The Jewish Foundation of Manitoba reserves the right not to award these scholarships on an annual basis. This is dependent upon the receipt of qualified applications as determined by the terms and conditions of the scholarship.
